Alternate Scientific Name (Synonym): Agrostis gigantea
Panicle branches are only spreading during anthesis (flowering period) and become ascending to appressed after pollination. Generally considered an introduction from Eurasia but there is some indication populations native to North America may exist. Turf grass of choice for golf courses.
