NOTES: Among the earliest blooming trees, often flowering in late winter. Winged, paired seeds, called samaras, spin to the ground like tiny helicopters. Polygamo-dioecious: mostly dioecious (male and female flowers on separate plants) but with either a few flowers of the opposite sex or a few bisexual flowers on the same plant. MADBUCK.
